McIntosh Trail publishes 2012 Annual Report

JACKSON, Ga.—McIntosh Trail Early Childhood Development Council, Inc., a non-profit agency that provides comprehensive early childhood educational services to low-income children and their families in North Central Georgia, has released its annual report for 2012.

The agency, headquartered in Jackson, received nearly $7.5 million in funding from federal, state, and in-kind sources during fiscal year 2012.

The Head Start program served 563 children and 528 families last year in the seven counties.

McIntosh Trail operates Head Start, Early Head Start, and Pre-Kindergarten services for more than 900 infants, toddlers, pregnant moms, and preschoolers in Butts, Newton, Henry, Spalding, Lamar, Pike, and Upson counties.
